Welcome to the April edition of the Contests of Steemit compilation with the latest available links and synopses for each contest. I've added a few interesting competitions I missed such as the Art Explosion challenge, the 365 days of writing challenge and the Steemit Comment Challenge. There are also some great new comps such as the Poetry Slam. Do feel free to add any others in the comments section, which I will strive to add to the main article in due course.

1. Contest: World of Photography Contest

   Synopsis: This challenge is held every day, covering one continent each day of the week. Nominations are then made and the daily winners compete for the weekly prize of 100 SBD. The requirement is to submit a personal photo that you took during your travels in the continent of the day add to provide a short description of your photo (between 30 to 50 words)
