"Jamie Vardy Missed A Penalty"

Not something you hear every day but you did last night as Leicester hosted Spartak Moscow in this important Group C clash.

That was a disappointing 1-1 result for Leicester as they badly needed a win and with just two games left, they are left third in Group C in a very tight group.

Leicester had the vast majority of possession without looking overly threatening and it was the Russians in the shape of Moses who got the opener, a few minutes half time.

Leicester equalised a few minutes later but the talking point was the terribly timid Vardy penalty in the 75th minute which might have just consigned Leicester to a group stage exit.

Anyway, it's Friday night and we're back to Premier League action in a rather uninspiring game between...

Southampton have started firing after a very poor start taking seven points from the last three games and moving up to 14th in an ever-tightening mid-table.

Villa, after rebuilding during the close season, including buying Southampton's top scorer, Danny Ings, all with the proceeds from the Jack Grealish sale but after promising signs have sunk to 15th, just one place above Southampton but they've now lost four in a row and have a terrible injury list.

With it seemingly the start of the silly season as far as manager sackings are concerned, Villa boss Dean Smith is going to be surely looking over his shoulder.
