Writing Prompt Art Contest #8 and Writing Contest Update

in contest •  7 years ago

The writing portion of these contests finished a few days ago and I am taking my time reading through all of the entries - I make it a point not to read any of them until the contest closes so I have no clear favourites going into judging. I will announce the winner soon.

https://steemit.com/contest/@gmuxx/art-prompt-writing-contest-8

Onto this contest and as usual I am looking for a piece or art or photography to use as a writing prompt for the next writing contest. It can be any traditional medium, digital art or photography. If you are unsure, please ask below.

The winning entry will serve as a story prompt for my next writing contest.

The winner will receive 10 Steem plus the SBD payout from this post. Their artwork will be featured in all the entries to the writing contest, giving the winner more exposure on the platform.

This contest closes at midnight UTC/GMT on the 17th of January.

You can submit your entry either directly in the replies to this post, or by linking your post featuring your artwork below. You may submit as many entries as you like, but they must all be your own work. They do not have to be original to this contest, previously created art or photographs may be submitted - even if they were not created specifically for this contest.

Good luck!

Thank you for this contest! While waiting for the results, I'll drop some of my Black&White challenge pictures, just in case you find them promptly :)

Ooooo I'm going to have to see if I can come up with something.

Ok! I went out -specifically- to get these. I braved the horrible place of spiders. I'll have something else drawn up for this later.

My last entry for this contest!

Wow this is such a great idea and opportunity for us artists to show of our work, Thank you! I would like to post two of my images.

The first one is from a series of islands I'm strarting to make. When I'm on the road and come across a lonelly house somewhere, I always wonder who might live there and what their life is like, so I'd love to see what the writers come up with for this one.

The second image is just something I feel has a strong
narative aspect to it and would like to know how others
view these characters.

Thats all. Thanks again for this great opportunity!

Here's a photograph I, recently, took in Peru of an image I found evocative. Hope you do, too:

Here's a breathtaking view from a farm in Colombia:

And a close-up from an enchanted garden, in Medellin:

Here is my entry.
