LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE CONTEST WEEK #036 - The Kimberly Mountains !!

in contest •  6 years ago  (edited)

This was on my trip to the the Kimberley Ranges which is in Western Australia the Kimberley is one of the oldest and largest wilderness ancient landscape covering hundreds of thousands of square kilometers pretty similar to the Grand Canyons in American only the Kimberley has a lot more fresh waterfalls and watering holes one amazing breathtaking place to visit. They say the Kimberley's Ranges is three times larger then England that is incredible and the best way to see it is by boat cruises as we did.

This is an incredible holiday!

Definitely was one amazing place to see :)

Great shot. Did you use a fisheye or panorama lens/setting?

That you my friend i used a fisheye lens or wide lens as i call it :)

Thanks. BTW, a "wide lens" is NOT a "fisheye" lens. A fisheye lens is a wide ANGLE lens; but. it is also a bit of a distortion lens because it gives a stretched, rather bulbous look to the image. A "wide lens" or panoramic lens is a rectilinear wide angle lens which doesn't give that bulbous look.

Got you now i know the difference thanks for that info i still have a lot to learn about cameras :)

There are books on photography in most libraries. You can even download most of them these days to your e-reader from your county library database.

That is true but you know what i hate reading instructions so boring and to many details i would rather see it done manually i pick it up so much more easier :)

Well… try going to a camera store. My experience is that they'll usually be happy to demonstrate equipment you're buying.

There the people i like talking to and i have learned more from them then fine detailed instructions :)

WOw what an awesome shot and I didn't know they were that big, so cool with the helicopter in this shot
