A couple years ago my time was quite booked up with work and homework. On occasion I would swipe through tinder in hopes of finding some form of human connection, even if it was just over message.
I finally decided to meet someone at a bar under the condition that I needed to work on homework and would have to work on one of my assignments while on our date. The assignment was to place vinyl stickers in unique locations as a way of understanding time based art forms. I recruited my Tinder date to assist me with this and he made the suggestion that we explore the underground portion of the city we were in.
At some point, while underneath a railroad, I snapped this portrait and somehow I managed to capture the emotion of the entire encounter.
