Steem-bounty Contest

in contest •  6 years ago

Hello friends I hope you are very well, I am participating in a fairly simple contest organized by the friend @jmhb85 and @steem-bounty, looking to make steemit a more entertaining and interactive, they are asking us to ask a simple question and attach a reward of at least 2 steem for the best response.

Long while thinking that ask jejeej question, I thought of something controversial as political economy or religion, however I decided for something that is more than controversial to learn a bit of general culture, to enter the environment with the question I will comment that the Christian population world (call Christians all religions that believe that in Christ as: evangelicals, Jehovah's Witnesses, Catholics, and a long etc) is far from representing half the population of the earth, then the question is ....

How is the world population divided according to the different religions?

The question is quite concrete, therefore the answer can be the same, but if apart from the percentages they talk a little about what they think about them, it is more likely that they are the winners of the reward.

See you later, steemians and remember HOLD !!!

Well, it is true that everyone is divided into Catholics, Evangelicals, Christians, Mormons, etc. because each group has a different opinion since the foundation of the Catholic Church, but in reality each religion is a way to reach God, and in this case the way is Christ

Hello friend how are you, just the question is to realize that Christianity represents a not so large part of the world population, about 30% of the population believes in Christ, or you could say that 70% of the world population does not believe in christ
regards

Dear my friend, first of all welcome to our Steem-bounty family, we are very happy that people like you join this friendly place and start to have many conversation as Steemit should be.
Regarding your question, this is a matter of university teacher, because religion is too big thing to be discussed in few words.
Anyway in my opinion, religion should teach love and respect of each other, but it is unbelivable how this is the reason where we have so many war in the past and you can see the actual situation where everybody is worry about the difficult of integration withdifferent religions in the same countries.
Of course there are political reason too, but i remember before 11/9/2001 nobody was worry to travel around the world and now we are full of fears.
I am not religion praticant, but i believe there is a God which will give the mean of this life to everybody.

Hi, thank you very much for the welcome, unquestionably religion is a very deep and broad topic, I think just like you, the wars in our world have been generated by politics and religion, I am not a practitioner either, I am an agnostic

How is the world population divided according to the different religions?

I think that the division is changing in a big way for my generation. When i was growing up, there was only Catholics and everybody subscribed to the narrative. Nowadays it is pretty much irrelevant. The majority of the people don't follow a religion anymore and of those who do, there is now a mix of different ones in the country. Before having a different religion was enough to put a target on your back but now it is widely accepted that we are now a multi-cultural society.

I know that in the wider world this concept hasn't fully seeped in and that there is still a lot of intolerance out there but i have to feel that as the world gets smaller and people worry less about our differences that your question will be irrelevant. People will not be divided by their faith and will have evolved enough to judge each other on their actions rather than their private beliefs.

I think Christianity has spread as far as the Western World has allowed it to, its crossed many cultural divides as we see it in Africa, Europe, Latin America as well. There could never be a really dominant religion because of certain areas of the world have their religion and culture assimilated as one.

For example Islam in the middle East or Buddism in the East and Hinduism in India

Christianity - 33%
Islam - 24.1%
Hinduism - 15%
Buddhism - 7%

Particularly I think that Christianity spread thanks to the colonization of America, we must remember that the aborigines had no option, or they adopted Christianity to kill them, thanks for participating.
regards

saludos

I could google out some facts and figures, but my simpler, more idealistic answer is another question. ..

How can we stop the world from being divided by religion?

Posted using Partiko Android

So that it does not split, all religions should disappear, since all believe they have the truth in their beliefs, and it is in their nature to divide or to distance those who do not share their truths

Yeah I just wish that our shared humanity would unite us more than religions cause divisions. Unfortunately I can't see anything changing any time soon.

1Cristianismo ≈ 2300 millones (31,4 %).
2Islam ≈ 1700 millones (23,2 %).
3Hinduismo ≈ 1100 millones (15 %).
4Budismo ≈ 520 millones (7,1 %).
5Religiosidad popular ≈ 435 millones (5,9 %).
6Judaísmo ≈ 15 millones (0,2 %).

Religion is a big part of different cultures and societies across the world! But different religions are dominant in different areas of the world.

Christianity, Islam and Judaism account for most of the worlds religious population and also has the most influence across most continents and countries. Then there is Bhuduism and Hinduism which also has a wide reach.

But each region has unique religions based on culture and tradition. For example Easter philosophy religious like Taoism and Chinese traditional religions also have a huge population. The case is the same with African traditional religions as well. Then there are new age religions like scientology and the church of the flying spaghetti monster, im not even joking about that one you can look it up! It really just depends on which region you analysing. But generally you will find one or two dominant religions and and a smaller following of secondary religions.

Jejeej clear friend pastafarismo was created in the form of protest in the United States, is a bit of bull or satire for religions and its impetus to want to add in the schools creationism, if you look objectively the 3 that are more dominant are the 3 more fierce and that have caused more deaths and wars, thanks for participating greetings

Very true. But they are also the oldest religions and if you look atbthe way the world progressed back in the day war, fighting and violence was the way all matters were solved, religion. So the two are mutually exclusive and not really the main cause of the negativity.

The world is divided by religion in two major which are 1-christainty & 2 Islamic
And on the distribution, they are evenly distributed. If you check some region, it may be mainly Muslim or Christian.

I think most people will agree that christians are the biggest religious group. But its hard to tell how big the exact amount of christians on the world is.
I think it will be around 30% or so.

It would be interesting to know how many of this people really believe in the christian good. A lot of people are just christians on the paper but don't go to church , pray or do other things. I wouldn't really count them as christians ( this people exist for all religions)
In a few years probably atheists will be the biggest religious group.

If indeed, although Christianity is the one that presents the highest percentage, they are also the religion most detached from the customs that they should practice because of their religion

According to the new index, the United States has a moderate level of religious diversity, ranking 68th among the 232 countries and territories included in the study. Counting both adults and children, Christians constitute a sizable majority of the 2010 U.S. population (78%). Of the seven other major religious groups, only the religiously unaffiliated claim a substantial share of the U.S. population (16%). All other religious groups combined account for about 5% of Americans. (The U.S. would register as considerably more diverse if subgroups within Christianity were counted.)

This question is quite tough I must say. Recent research shows that religion categorization is of different percentages. The highest being Catholics, Protestants , Muslims and the traditional
