Thanks for this wonderful opportunity @vheobong .....And here's my story.
I came to know about steemit from a colleague in the office @cool-henry though he's not active and i decided to join on the 29th January 2018 just to give it a try though i never believed there could be a site where you make a post and you get some money in return.
My journey on steemit has never been very smooth, there are days when i post and i don't get upvote, there are days i get upvote from like 100 friends and the payout is so small, there are days i feel so frustrated and confused, there are days when i don't feel like making any post because of the low outcome.
I decided to join the telegram group that was suggested to me, i started reading some post by others which took me to some discord channel and from there i was becoming positive and i made a lot of friends also. Getting upvote is one challenge i'm still facing right now and one of my greatest challenge is getting to meet friends who are also on steemit around me in Lagos and less i forget the almighty cheetah also visited my post and that got me so discouraged but at least i know what to do now.
My post wasn't too good at that moment, i had to learn some markdown skills with the help from my good friend @korexe i was so excited at least my post would look attractive a bit i said.
It's the fifth month now on steemit i'm still struggling to get upvote, i have even lost courage and vibes for writting or making a post. But we all have a starting point and i hope some day i will get better and at the moment i'm:
