Did everyone enjoy the Liverpool v Man City game last night? There was some great football on display and I'm nursing a slight hangover and I'm tired out today. What about our featured game yesterday? Well, not so much as no one got either the first goalscorer or correct score which is hardly surprising as it seems the Macclesfield first team didn't play as they are all on strike over non-payment of salaries! Only 997 supporters turned up to watch. Joking apart, for a small-town community club, that's really sad.

We now, of course, are heading into yet another, the third, international break. Nightmare! So matches are going to be a little thin on the ground so you're all going to have to work for your corn for the next few weeks and tonight we are returning to the FA Cup 1st round with the game between Harrogate Town from the National League (5th tier) and Portsmouth who actually won the FA Cup in 2008 but now languish in the EFL 1st division.

I do actually fancy Harrogate tonight. They are on a roll having just recently been promoted from the 6t tier and flying high in the National league. They have come a long way from a broke club with no players 10 years ago to where they are now and have Football's longest-serving manager in Simon Irvine whose Dad now actually owns the club! They are also from Yorkshire and only 16 miles from Leeds, but like Kingstonians yesterday, they are a bit posh!

Simply write the name of the FIRST GOALSCORER and the CORRECT SCORE as a comment. Competition closes 5 minutes before kick-off of the first game which is 19.45 GMT/UTC

In the first goalscorer competition, own goals do not count. In the correct score competition, it's the score after 90mins. Extra time and penalties do not count and the pot for each competition will roll-over if there is no winner. If more than one person chooses the same first goalscorer or correct score, the prize is shared and everyone gets a little upvote! It seems I also need to add, one entry per person. Don't forget the new rule that only people with a rep of 45 or above are eligible to enter unless they have been approved.
