INTERACTIVE BATTLE TOURNAMENT - IBT#5 Fundraiser and Start date.. It's getting close now.

....Joy! Not long now :) Here is a Quick update on the work/challenges and commencement date for IBT#5.

Challenges

Updating of primary bot code. Well I've got all the code and I've tested it in bits and bobs, but now I need to put it all together into one kick butt bot. The challenge with this is I don't have @cryptonik programming background to do this, but I'll give it my best shot and do some testing right here on this post over the next few days - So when Cryptonik rejoins us I'll have made it a bit easier to polish the work hehe (his coding is smooth compared to my petty skills).

Timing to kick off enrolment. So I'm going bush again on another lordnigel adventure, and being me I can't do normal shit and yeah internet is gonna be patchy at best. The dates I need to work around are probably 20th to 23rd April. These dates will see me not able to interact or post stages etc. Based on this, I'm looking at kicking off enrolments approx 19th  (if it all comes together :)). But I will be heavily relying on @doughtaker and the other returning players to help the new players along. @doughtaker, would you be able to confirm peoples enrolements? 

I suspect @doctorcrypto or @steemsph might be willing just to add a comment as people enrol and make them feel welcome. Then around the 24th I can jump back in, post detailed instructions, item shop, map and the next day Stage one. Hope this seems ok? 

Failing this, and it comes to much I'll either pause the game or delay until I get decent internet on the 24th.

Updating of Gobbo code: I'm going to try and update the code so it shows an item (So you can decide if you want to pickpocket the Git or not, but I suspect this challenge might be beyond my skills without @cryptonik help, but I will try. Sure hope he makes his normal appearance on Sunday :)

Testing of bots under load: This stuff is a bit complex, so like even if I get a bot running it has to work in with Steemit perfectly, so it has to try to cope with players posting at the same time, with the 20 second posting delay thing, with keeping it's self up....timeout settings etc. It's not easy stuff! As a result a lot could go wrong, so I'm going to do a bit of testing here on this page and may post reply's that say "BOT TESTING WINDOW APPROX 1 HOUR" and then give some bot commands, if people want to join in and test with me, go for it! just try not to spoil the game and start attacking each other hehe...This way if anyone wants to help, can just do some test runs below and jump in, would be fantastic!

Mini Game at Stage 5: Currently I'm just gonna go with a PVP, but if i have the time to think of a in game/side quest mini game gambling rumble, I''ll sneak it in.

When will IBT#5 Start:

                                           the current aim is the 19th of April.
