Markings : Pale grey above, whitish below; long tail; large white wing and tail patches.
Habitat : Farms with hedgerows; suburban yards with shrubbery; roadside thickets; utility poles and rooftops.
Seasons : All year.
Range : N. U.S. to Florida and Gulf of Mexico; local north to c. Maine and Great Lakes region.
Note : Derives its name from its practice of mimicking other birds.
