A lot would say steemit is fun whilemany believed it no fun area. It depends! Steemit is where you have to e creative enough to make it. Another secret is beloging to a community that helps make your growth faster. I have been a member of @steemgigs for days now and have been making things happen at a faster rate.
Steemit is definitely a real fun when you are earning! Yea , that the bitter truth. At times we rant about whales not upvoting us but I see reasons why they don't most times. They all suffered for that voting power and most of them invested to get there. This post is not just for ranting but offering you solutions to things you can do as minnow on the platform.

I have been going about seeing comments that are frustrating. Most user like commenting "awesome post,nice post,great, I upvoted you" all this are nothing. Steemit is where you read every letter before commenting . The article writer will always know if you read before commenting on not
Contest:
There so many contest that can fast track your achievements on steemit. Join contest, obey all the rules and participate.
Define your blog
Dont just be the jack of all trades and master of none. Let your blog be specific at least 40%%.
Don't do Follow for follow
Let loyal followers find you, Don't just let the followers number counts. It take you to nowhere.

Steemit is Damn FUN！！！I can see it right in your eyes, looking from your pupil to the eyeballs, it is written in red colours and in bold graphics....-“Steemit is fun！Nothing to be compared to steemit”, not even facebook....Personally I have met great friends here, networked, read exciting articles, learnt from educative post.....I dare anyone to say Steemit is not fun.....Good Work boss.

Oh yeah, I've been in love with Steemit from the first glance. I actually hate social media and this is the only platform that I love to hang out. So many great guys here, so much to learn and something for our wallet. Isn't that just awesome? We can have fun if we thought this as a normal social media platform. But we all know this platform is better than anything.
I agree with you about the commenting part. I don't understand why people comment spam on here where can they earn dollars while they are writing paragraphs on facebook. Comments are the best drug for bloggers. Sometimes I appreciate one honest comment than ten upvotes.

@michaeljerry0 for me i would say steemit is fun...what i enjoy most is the interaction section where you get to share idea about a particular post of your interest and learn more...steemit also encourage creative guys because i have never seen a platform whereby you join without paying anything and you earn by being creative...i mean its wonderful.
For does saying steemit is not fun...i would say they focus their mind on earning by any mean so when theu dont earn up to their expection they feel disappointed and if you check properly most of this people are not being creative.

Honestly from my own corner I would say Steemit isn't what everybody take it to be, you know every body are just like let me just post anything the upvotes will rolling in.... Like seriously Steemit is beyond that so I guess it's not been fun for me coz I got that motive
