I decided to try and get some pictures of the birds in my garden for this weeks contest. Tricky as I have to do it out of the upstairs windows as they come to the feeders but got a couple of combo shots.
This lovely little blue tit on a rose briar is one of a pair that is hanging out in the garden. Hoping they'll nest this year.
Then there is this delightful group of goldfinches that comes by to feed on the seed-heads of all the evening primrose that I failed to weed out. Now they're so hungry I'm glad I didn't!
I had to go downstairs and outside to do the verification (zoom lens and bit of paper in my hand just not compatable!) so the birds of course had flown.
I did a post about feeding the birds in winter here https://steemit.com/nature/@monkeygentle/winter-delights-feeding-the-birds
Thanks @papa-pepper for running this contest.
