This was a very funny Haiku, with a good sense of lighthearted humor and image. You certainly know how to write winning Haikus!.... Congrats.

This was a touching, sad and really well written poem that evokes true human emotion and compassion... Congrats.

Thank you to all the participants who made this contest a success. This week, we had so many amazing entries and it was very hard for us to judge. We had a lot of fun reading them all and deciding the winners. Everyone gave their best effort and they were all great poems, however please make sure that you check your syllables and words before you enter and submit your entry. There were some great entries that would have won but they were not a Haiku. Don’t worry, I will be introducing in the next post the tool which I use to count syllables anc correct my own Haikus. Thanks again.

I will be posting the next contest "Week 15” in the very next post today. If you didn't win this week, then you have another chance to take the top 3 spots in Week 15. Best of luck to you all, and thanks again in making Haikus Great Again.

Just wanted to clear the air, I made a haiku (spent time on it)as an extension of the winning one as a mark of gratitude, but having read that I can see how it could be perceived in bad taste by someone who doesn't know me. I'm truly thankful to you for running a contest, I know it's difficult, having run 2 on my own.

I highly appreciate your explanation. Thank you very much for clearing the air. Yes, running a contest is not easy at all, I also judge officially for the Steemit Open Mic Contest hosted by @luzcypher and we go through nearly 500 entries, and @luzcypher does a great amount of work to have reached his 70th week of hosting, I don't know how he manages, but it is worth every moment because giving back is a great thing for our community. Glad to know you understand, and thanks again for your thanks. Much appreciated. I too have a sense of humour don't worry.
