Long-time followers of my blog probably know that @scrooger and I have some sort of friendly competition going on between us. We regularly check the number of followers that each of us has. It always varies. Sometimes @scrooger is in the lead and sometimes I am. We always encourage each other to “catch up” and to keep growing.
As we both will be hitting the magic milestone of 1,000 followers within a few weeks from now, we decided to make this friendly race into a new GIVEAWAY CONTEST that will reward our followers – whether they have been with us for a long time or just joined recently. We call this new game:
Here’s how it’s going to work: both @scrooger and I will publish two posts on our respective blogs at the exact same time.
Everyone who wants to participate in the game and get a chance to win some SBD in the giveaway, will have to register in the comments to that post. We are aware that our followers overlap to a great extent and that we “share” many of the same followers. That’s why, unlike in real life, it will be possible for anyone to register as a voter for both presidential candidates. The only requirement is that you are a follower of the candidate you are going to vote for. If you want to maximise your chances for winning one of the game’s prizes, you are free to follow both candidates and register as a voter for both of us.
More detailed instructions will be provided once the Voters Registration post goes live in two days from now.
Post #2 is where the actual voting will happen. Both @scrooger and I will try to maximise the number of upvotes for our own post. In a way, we are going to campaign to win the race. You, the “voters”, can help us by upvoting, resteeming and spreading the word of the game. Once again, unlike in real life, you can actually vote for both presidential candidates in order to maximise your own chance to win some SBD.
Once both Posts #2 receive payouts, the votes will be counted and the new President will be announced. The loser (author of the post with the smaller number of upvotes) will transfer 50% of his post’s SBD payout to the winner (author of the post with the largest number of upvotes). The winner will then give away 100% of his own post’s SBD payout plus 50% of the loser’s payout to 10 20 randomly picked followers who registered as his voters in Post #1. The loser will give away the remaining 50% of his post’s SBD payout to 5 10 randomly picked followers of his own, who registered as his voters in Post #1 (you see now why it might be a good idea to register as a voter for both candidates).
QUESTIONS? SUGGESTIONS? OBJECTIONS? :)
Well, that’s it. We hope that the game mechanics doesn’t sound too complicated and that it will be easy and fun for you to participate in this upcoming game. Please leave your feedback below in the comments, post questions and suggestions for how this game can be improved. If the first Presidential Race turns out to be a popular game and a positive experience for everyone, we might repeat it in the future at regular intervals (when we reach 1,500 or 2,000 followers and so on).

And the followers’ odds to win some SBD just doubled! @scrooger and I have just decided to give away 150% of the winner’s post’s payout to twenty of the registered voters, while ten of the losing candidate’s voters will receive 50% of the loser’s post’s payout! Cool, er? ;)

Super cool, I never think giving away SBD away is a bad idea. Especially, when I am the recipient of the reward.

Good news, everyone!
@scrooger and I just decided to double the number of followers who will receive payouts from the “election” posts! Now 20 randomly picked followers will receive 150% of the SBD payout of the winning post, and 10 randomly picked followers will receive 50% of the SBD payout of the losing post. Neat, eh? ;)
(I’ve just edited the post above accordingly)
The “Voters Registration” post goes live tomorrow. You will be able to register for the giveaway in that post. Please help us spread the word by checking in tomorrow and resteeming it.

Ok, will do it. Also you can take to consideration following voting mechanism (Everybody can take part, not only your followers):
UPVOTE - is a vote for you
RESTEEM - for Scrooger
(Or vise versa)
Only 1 vote can be done, and also before that you can post your "programs" - may be some brief of your views on cryptocurrencies future development)

This is really a nice game. I wish the real-life presidential campaigns use similar approaches. Feed their followers instead of steal from them. Life would be much more fun like that :D
