Introduction

For those who don’t know Get a Record contest has been running in the end of 2017 december. At some point I paused it because of a busy agenda outside the blockchain. However it was never been continued.. Until now

Get a Record is a contest where Steemians collaborate and create a vinyl record.. yes real hard vinyl

Get a record continues with a few changes to the system how it works. These changes are implemented in the new system of work as displayed below:

1. Get a record is a contest where producers and singers/rappers (Vocalists) are making a track together and collaborate to win a spot on a actual vinyl printed record

2. One round endures 1 month or 4 weeks. The first two weeks per round are for the producers to send In music that need vocals to them all

3. The 3rd and 4th round are for the vocalists to record vocals on a track that has been submitted, the final submission or track that is going for the record (if it wins) will be submitted by the vocalist.

4. By working together the with the producer, the quality of the track may be improved and quality is the only aspect that is important for winning.

5. The contest can go on as long as it takes as there is no guarantee for winning a round if the quality does not match the standards we (the jury) believes is needed.

6. Max 2 submission per person (producer or vocalist) per round (1month 4weeks)

The beats submitted will be collected in a ‘’BEATLIST’’ that is easy to use as a sound cloud playlist. Producers may send in 1 track per week, and there will be an update post each week.

• The tracks must be downloadable to be used for the contest (recording)
• Only recordings with an actual condenser microphone get the quality that is needed not to mention singing
quality too
• Reaching out to the person who made the beat and get help or do stuff together is recommendable.

An actual recording means an audio recording and not video recording. The beats will be added each week, the best quality beats only will be listed in

The vocalists can pick a record to sing or rap on as soon as the first week update brings the already submitted instrumentals. Only the winning songs will be rewarded with an equal tokenamount to both producer and vocalist.
