Why not create a post saying "I want to play that xxx $ tournament. Please fund me through votes and I'll give back xx% of the winnigs at my voters ?
You should have a ratio for voters, the biggest the whale voting the bigger the % he receives. If not, you won't have big steemers voting you.
Finally, the streaming of the tournament and the Steemit logo would be amazing and really could move the community to follow your efforts.

Hmm, yes, this sounds interesting. I think I am going to make a twitch channel and a new poker a/c dedicated to this idea. Can you explain to me further how I could determine the ratio in which to distribute any winnings, I am not sure how Steemit determines who is the most important participants in a given post and thus the most valuable?

Hi guys, going to begin streaming this tournament over on twitch.tv/steemitpoker at 9.30 tonight. Slight change of plan - going to play on coral poker instead of Pokerstars. Not fully sure if the $7.92 payout currently quoted is to be paid out entirely to me or if a portion of it will be. But to keep it simple I will be playing a €5 tournament and splitting any profit equally between all that have posted. If I play more tournaments in the future I will look at distributing winnings in a way that better reflects which posters positively influenced the payout more than others.

Thanks! Yes I play quite a lot of low stakes MTTs and I am in profit by about $3.2k online. Been playing less often recently but going to go into it fulltime soon. If staking through this community becomes a viable source of funding, perhaps I can play even more often and take greater stakes in a bid to climb further into the green!
