Following the great results I have seen from a previous STEEM donation, I decided to donate part of my Zakat contribution to steemians who use it to support people in urgent need.
In total 500 STEEM will be donated to worthy charities run by Steeminas
In order to find suitable candidates for the donations (minimum 50 STEEM - maximum 200 STEEM per winner), the following information need to be provided in a new post:
Edit: The quality and details provided in the post will determine how much STEEM will be donated. If a post doesn't show proof of a current project or immediate urgent need, I won't consider it.
- How will you use the donated STEEM to support people in urgent need.
- When will you use the donation? (e.g next week, month, year?)
- How do you plan to show the community that you didn't use it all yourself.
I will pick multiple winners (provided there are suitable submissions) after the payout period of this post (7days) and write a follow up post to introduce the winners.
In that post I will also show screenshots of the STEEM transactions to the winners so it will be clear for everyone to see that I fulfilled my end of the promise.

This is great @tarekadam. I and my friends are launching an initiative to help poor people in rural areas in Africa have access to education by distributing free textbooks to them and encouraging them not to allow their poor backgrounds prevent them from attaining greater heights. We intend to start in July. We are at the stage of gathering resources from the public to get the books. So I do not have the picture of any poor locality or the rural areas to show. Actually, I am not sure and I talked with some of my friends and I will try to know if you talk about zakat. if you want to donate then the organization/person can use any/specific organizational cause like "School kids food, education purposes, tecahers salary, training for women empowerment, buy a machine and so on" But in case of zakat I need to talk with some people before showing my interest. Also Talk with some needy people " One or few individuals" who will directly get the fund after the tranasction cost. zakat should be given to specific people and we want to help someone who can give zakat next year.I am not an Islamic scholar but I will try to learn. Also please let me know my first question " Zakat" or "Donation" .

Hello @tarekadam! I belong to a charity foundation Save An Orphans' Future Foundation aimed at providing the best care for orphans and children in need.
Basically we are doing everything in our power to give to orphans what parents give to their children.
We assist in proper education, development, talent development and skill acquisition just to secure their future.
We are just trying to do our best to make this generation of orphans and the future generations better than the past.
We are currently working on a project to make this year Children's day more special than the last.
Our Project will be geared towards putting a smile on the faces of the children at the Trinitarian orphanage.
The steem donated will be used to procure educational materials, first aid medications and food items.
It will also act as support funds for the children's day party we are organizing on the 28th of May 2018.
The Steem will be used on the 28th and 29th of May 2018.
