The oldest tin older than me is the fan I inherited from my father, he acquired it while he was still a bachelor. My dad is 74yrs old now. If am not mistaken, this fan should be around 46yrs of age. Just take a look:

Thanks @thepassenger for creating such a unique contest. The oldest thing I own is jewellery from my Grandma. She is Indian and died aged 94. She kept the jewellery her whole life and it was given to her by her mother before her. We suspect it's at least a couple of hundred years old. I love having things with such sentimentality and history behind them. I believe you can really feel the energy which passes through them. How about you?

I have some really old photos of my family, but the oldest things i own are roman coins which are about 2000 years old and a fossil collection. Those might be more than 100 million years old!! My high school diary is the oldest thing I own for now. All other things that come to me didn`t stay long but this one (the diary i mean) is still on me up to now. I have some Bulgarian coins minted in 1892. They should be considered valuable, however there is some supply out there and they are trading at around 5-10 Bulgarian leva (BGN) - this is like 3-5 euros. They have been transferred down the family and I guess my son will get to keep as well.

The oldest thing I own is a rosary that my mother gave me. It was the most precious gift I ever received from her. She told me that she bought it 3 years after she got married to my father and gave it to me when I was in grade 6. So, it was like 10 years that it's in my hand now but 33 years in total including the time that my mother still owned it.
