On searching about ico i fined this definition
DEFINITION of 'Initial Coin Offering (ICO)' An unregulated means by which funds are raised for a new cryptocurrency venture. ... In an ICO campaign, a percentage of the cryptocurrency is sold to early backers of the project in exchange for legal tender or other cryptocurrencies, but usually for Bitcoin.
I cont understood the definition also so i don't know about ico.

Yes, I've participated in a few ICO's. Some have payed off, some haven't. At this time, because of the dip, my investments are in the red.
A resteem of one of my "Free Steemit Graphics" would be greatly appreciated however!
As maybe a small mention and link to my blog?
Donations are welcome too but I'd like to reiterate you musn't feel obliged!
If you right click the banner and copy the link or safe the image to your pc it should be ready for use. The resolution is optimized for Steemit. I do hope I haven't overstepped
With kind regards,

Hi @aka-alias Sorry for not getting back to you earlier, I was on vacation and offline (which is great for a while!) I really like your improve on the banner! I'll take it and use it today for the 50th question mentioning you and your blog for sure! The only thing is that SmartCash should be all together in the same word.
Regarding ICO's i'm in the same situation, I invested in about 40, which about 10 are doing very good, 10 its ok 5 in red, 1 did never went to exchage and 15 still not trading :)
Thanks for your work, see it in action later on!

Hi @thepassenger,
Sorry for my late response. I've been away from home for a bit and am a bit short on time at the moment. I'm glad you like the banner. I'll be sure to correct the smartcash spelling asap and will get back to you with a better version.
Talk to you soon!

I live in that part of world where we do not have easy access to buy or sell crypto. Yes, some can buy it but there is very lengthy procedure to follow it. No direct access famous exchange sites, no direct withdrawal or direct connection to bank. All these things make people like me to do not think about ICOs. Only big whales can think as they do have resources but with limited knowledge and not big investments not possible for our country man to invest in ICOs. Due to above limitations and restrictions, I am unable to my self to take part in ICO.

I participated in the Bancor ICO when the whole Ethereum network was congested due to the ICO this is why my transaction failed, so I tried again and it failed again.. I ended up paying 0.02 ETH gas fee without ever receiving any BNT and was so angry that I have never participated in any ICO ever again!

Yes, I've invested relatively small amounts in some interesting ICO, which seem to have decent solutions for technology that I think a decentralised database or computing would be essential. Hoever, it really is an invest and don't look mentality at the moment. Check in on about 5 years and see what has happened!

I think it's random, but I could be mistaken. But I guess it wouldn't be bad if the process was a bit more transparent. Of course, that is all up to @thepassenger.

Hi there @itsjblaze you are right, you had the most votes but the system I used doesn't recognize it by some reason. As you can see in the link provided in the question you will see which tool i'm using:
If you go on http://pick.esteem.ws/ which is the tool that picks the TOP voted, the most engaged and random comment it will, by some reason, not pick you as a winner even thought you have 37 votes and the announced winner has 35, so from now on I will monitor it manually as well. You can check by yourself, I DO NOT chose the winners, i thought this site was working fine but in fact it's not, so sorry about it.
@aka-alias I always use that tool to select the winners. If the most voted and most engaged are the same user, or it's me, I choose two random winners. What do you think it will improve transparency? This is the spreadsheet linked in the description of the contest on each question: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vUjj-w95Uu6y1N7--pw1Fur3Z2aSaZiATqasRoh61sM/edit#gid=0
Maybe i should change the contest and make it 3 random winners? I think if you do a great comment and people votes on you then it makes sense that you win?
Nevertheless I sent you the amount that you would have won because it was my (well the website) mistake ;) and thanks for joining!

I just came out of a night-shift when posting that comment and wasn't thinking to my full capacity.
@itsjblaze, you are right. My apologies for missing the obvious.
@thepassanger, I think that's plenty of transparency. I like the idea of of the one with the most votes winning. Do you check if there are vote bots used by those participating? I see nothing in the rules about that but using them would be a "pay to win" scenario which doesn't seem fair. I also like that you try to select the best comment in your view and of course I think that is absolutely fine as it is you who organizes this thing. You should have a say in who wins.
The random win is also nice. I guess I would save that one for the Smart Cash prize.
So in conclusion. I wouldn't change much. Maybe ad the rule about not using bots and indeed double check the vote count. I wouldn't change the "most votes win" policy. It might activate peoples fiends to vote on their friend which in turn would make your blog grow even more, presumably. Keep it up!
Just on last question, what do you thing about the banner I made for you in my post a bit further down this thread? I hope it wasn't too presumptuous of me to suggest a new one...
