This is one of the newest brainstorming game show that has come to your smartphones via live hosting — HQ Trivia.
It is live every day at 9 PM EST, and 3 PM EST on weekdays.
Back those days, brainstorming game shows can only be played by lucky studio players that made them appeared on TV. Now it's more interactive, since anyone who has smartphones can really join this fascinating live quiz game show.
HQ is also known as HQ Trivia or HQ Live Trivia. It came up as a trivia game app now, which was released in 2017 on iOS and then later released on Android in January 2018.
HQ was created by Rus Yusupov and Colin Kroll, same guys who created Vine, a short-form video hosting service where users could share six-second-long looping video clips.
Scott Rogowsky is the primary host of this said game show, where he broadcasts live from New York City, New York.
This app is a form of live game show. The host will ask a series of 12 multiple choice questions with each possible answer from a given 3 choices. Those players who consistently get the right answers within a 10-second limit can move on until the last round, whilst the rest are eliminated.
There could be a savage question when a question eliminates more players in getting the right answer.
The players that could make it to the twelfth question, which is the last, split the prize money along with other winners. If you are the only who made it, then you are luck to have it all yours.
Prize at stakes is currently $2000 for normal games and most of it, but it has been as high as $18,000. But, the last time I joined, it was $20,000.
The creators have stated too that they are planning to someday increase it to $1 million.
It has now expanded to UK, Canada, and Australia, and even in some Asian countries.
Their latest most number of players was 1.2 million players when I joined last time where I remembered that Oprah Winfrey had joined the game, when its host officially mentioned her. It has attracted a conccurrent million players that makes it even more exciting and anticipating to play everyday.
Since, when you play this game, getting a mistake is being eliminated, you can use your extra lives too. How? You need to invite friends coz 1 invite earns you an extra life. So lucky if you have lots of invites, you can save them for later.
I just joined from first day of January this year, and til now the highest question I've ever been was 5th question, since they're too tough for me to answer right in a matter of 10 seconds per question. It really depends on your luck and smartness to answer too.
