Nigeria and Niger are scheduled to play their 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations group A game on 2019-02-05. Prior to this match Nigeria will play Burundi on 2019-02-02 while Niger will play South Africa on the same date to open group play. Nigeria qualified for the final tournament by scoring wins over Guinea-Bissau in the 2nd round and Mauritania in the last round. They won this championship in 2015. Niger qualified for the finals automatically as hosts and are making their tournament debut.
