Hello Fellow Steemians, Today I decided to make an interesting contest for you guys that interested in making a short story.
I will make this as a weekly contest that will hold every week by me.
According to Wikipedia
A short story is a piece of prose fiction that can be read in one sitting. Emerging from earlier oral storytelling traditions in the 17th century, the short story has grown to encompass a body of work so diverse as to defy easy characterization. At its most prototypical the short story features a small cast of named characters, and focuses on a self-contained incident with the intent of evoking a "single effect" or mood.[1] In doing so, short stories make use of plot, resonance, and other dynamic components to a far greater degree than is typical of an anecdote, yet to a far lesser degree than a novel. While the short story is largely distinct from the novel, authors of both generally draw from a common pool of literary techniques.

- The Story contains no longer than 200 words
- Write a ShortStory based on the topic that I will give every week
- Only 1 entry per user
- Submit your entry in the comment section below
- First week, I will be the judge. But I'm welcoming anyone that interested to be a guest judge for the next contest.

A long night it was indeed. Dawn showing up short after, I aimed for the lion showing up, only half making its appearance in my sight.
Closing by, the lion climbed a tree, sneaking closer in my horizon, he turnt away, looking past that bright pink light.
As I approached, he turnt his ears. Sensing my appearance. Sensing my intention.
Slowly gliding down the sky, the sun made not only any human eye amaze, as even the lion couldn't keep his eyes of nature's creation.
In my mind I sank. Shall I enjoy a shot or a sight? Slowly, yet steadily I lowered my gun.
No longer in need of that shot on the lion, I sat down. Staring at the lion, who was shadowing me from the sun.
As it became darker, the sky turnt more and more pink. Making sight inevitably sweet.
Slowly I started sinking. The ground grew over me. Drowning in the ground, I felt only the lion at my feet.

The world seemed dry. Struggling for life, and it was not easy. There was no water to drink, everything was on the verge of death. It rained with a heavy downpour, and there was water all around, giving life back. People then started valuing the what Nature Gave Us.

Nature, the best place to help relive the mind of any stress. On a stressful day visit an open field and breath the fresh air, take in the views of the lovely blue sky with the clouds that makes shapes of anything and everything. It helps free the imagination and gives you access to your brain that we keep polluted with worldly matters. Appreciate the insects and what they do for the ecosystem. Each individual insect has a part it plays for without it we will have a short coming in the ecosystem. Nature the best stress reliever 😊

Earth was once ruled by a gang of ferocious man hunters, everything on this earth was running on their cruel demands. A young lad from a tribe decides to end this and he knew stacking their wealth would end the rules of man hunters. He laid out a plan to conquer the toughest of routes and steal all the wealth from these cruel species. The way forward was not easy and he faced the extremes of nature on his way, he was no selfish but he was doing this to save humanity from clutches of those who are trying to end humanity.
He took the pain all by himself conquered the world’s highest peak for humans, took his loot all by himself. In the due course broke his hands yet continued on, the only factor that kept him going was his determination to end the slavery of his people. He finally reached the point where we dumped all his loot and converted it to salt water. This place was later known to be the world’s highest salt water lake Pangong Tso and its magnificence still eludes people from all over the World.

Have You heard, how early in the morning singing outside the window birds? How melodious cooing thrush, chirping oriole and takes his warbling of the nightingale? Like a small gurgling brook or calms the waves of the sea surf? Are You familiar with the shock of the magnificent view from the high mountains, where You were raised, overcoming ledges and crevices? The sky's so blue above you! Think reach out and touch the clouds stopped right over the place where you stand. And under feet you have a vast plain with trees, similar to the first greens of the grass. Hills resembling a pile of sand.
You're standing, the wind ruffles your hair. I want to scream with joy. The delight in front of incomparable beauty of our world, the splendor of nature.

THE LOST TRAIL.
"its fish" its a fish papa" she jumped excitedly as she pointed to the water. I rushed out of the shrubs and jumped into the water and as I tried to see what she was pointing at, I thought I saw something charging at me from the water and as I turned she shouted, "Behind you papa", I quickly turned and grabbed my knife from my belt and struck blindly.
I opened my eyes and saw some men looking down at me with my 5year old Maddie clinging to my hand and sobbing.
"What happened?" I asked and as I tried to seat up, I couldn't feel my right hand. "What's happening?" I muttered to myself.
"Take it easy son".. the man wearing a brown leather vest and shorts spoke calmly. "You are lucky we came to your rescue when we did"..
"Rescue..." I asked and by now I became aware of the throbbing in my right hand and I as I tried to hold Maddie to comfort her, my eyes caught the blood stained clothes that used to be where my hand was and I passed out.
