The Steemit Engagement Challenge for Season 08 is underway and off to a successful start again. Based on today's report, I'm pleased to share with you the overall statistics for Season 07.
The platform is experiencing a surge in contest participation & organizers, with an average of 100 active participants daily. Despite this success, certain contests remain challenged in attracting significant participation.
To gain a clearer understanding of contest engagement, I’m introducing a new initiative that provides a comprehensive overview of contest participation, focusing particularly on the impact of new contests with novel themes on overall contest participation. Let us take a closer look at the data from the previous week.

13th FERUARY STATS
On February 13th (Monday), a total of 16 contests reached their expiration date. Continuing the last week trend we have the highest number of participants for the guessing a number contests along with a writing contest, both contests had a total of 14 contenders. On the other hand, 03 contests had 2 contenders in each as the least attracted. On the whole, there were 110 entries recorded on February 13th, resulting in an average of 7 entries per contest.

On February 14th (Tuesday), a total of 14 contests reached their expiration date. Out of these contests, the highest number of participants were recorded again in writing contests, with a total of impressive 24 contenders. On the other hand, the contests with the least number of participants couldn't attract contenders, reason seems to be obvious because it's a video contest. On the whole, there were 139 entries recorded on February 14th, resulting in an average of 10 entries per contest.

During the week, there were a total of 682 contest submissions which is 12.1% decrease from the previous week.
Despite the decrease in participation, there has been an 11.36% rise in contests.
The average number of entries per contest for this week is 08.
Guessing a number comment contests making the daily charts count at the moment.
We can see number of sports themed contests are on flop.
I hope contest organizers, curation teams & Steemit team find this information helpful in getting a better idea of contests and the overall environment. And for the organizers, if a certain idea isn't quite hitting the mark, there's always the opportunity to come up with something new and exciting!
