Yesterday was an incredible beautiful day around 72 degrees and sunny. I was out in my back yard planting and weeding and prepping soil areas. I looked over to see this little bee buzzing around my poppies! I quick grabbed my phone and was able to snap a few shots of her pigging out on pollen.
The pollen looks good enough to eat! @kimmysomelove42
Can you see the pollen sac? @kimmysomelove42
I love that there is a World Bee Day. In my opinion, every day is Bee day. I am very passionate about ORGANIC gardening! The Earth has lost too much of the world's bee population due to pesticides and fungus. As more people stop the madness of buying a spraying poisons everywhere, these little guys and many hundreds of other pollinators will have a chance to survive and thrive. Most of the world has banned toxic poisons such as round-up and insecticides except for the U.S. Do your own research and make the Earth a healthier safer place for all living creatures.
You can assist bees and butterflies by planting flowers and flowering bushes etc. Please, buy organic! When bringing plants into your garden that have been feed commercial fertilizers and pesticides you can spread disease and fungus to the rest of your garden accidentally. Thus can affect the bees and other insects, you and your children. There are many alternatives to toxic methods which I intend to share with you.
I was asking the bee if she could pose and I got this no kidding! She's perching on my blueberry while drooling over the poppy! What personality they have!
