Against the sins of the flesh: But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law

Jesus described the virtue of faith as that seed that becomes the largest of the garden plants (Matthew 13:31-32), faith must bear good fruit when is well sown; because that's what life is all about, mercy (compassion, kindness) and sin, as spiritual paths, bear fruit because they have progressive effects in human life.
The fruits of the spirit and the works of the flesh that are described in the epistle to the Galatians are the ultimate goals of human life (Galatians 5:19-23), and these fruits are what define us as persons. The apostle Paul always took these fruits into account in his teachings, to such an extent, that in his epistle to Titus, he explained to his beloved disciple that those who manifest the works of the flesh cannot be in the communion of believers, the Church:
"But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them. You may be sure that such people are warped and sinful; they are self-condemned" Titus 3:9-11.
The sins of the flesh, Paul explained, condemn us, that is, they lead us to suffering and make us depend on the things we seek, such as ambition for money, how much money is enough to be happy? If we let ourselves be driven by ambition, this will never satisfy our soul.
Happiness for sinners is like trying to grab the water with the hands, it always slips away and does not allow itself to be caught; happiness in this situation becomes a passing moment and never a state of the mind. Happiness as such, happiness of the heart, is always the product of sharing our mercy and righteousness with our neighbor, as in the case of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37).
