Hello my friends at Steemit. The convention of States is moving forward with 11 States registered for a Convention of an Article V Constitutional Convention of States.

Why should Anarchists join the Convention of States?

Although the word anarchist was not in popular use and may not have existed at the time of the original Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania an anarchist is a rebel. An anarchist wants zero government, equality, and freedom.

This is what an Article V, Constitutional Convention does

  1. Restores freedom
  2. Limits government
  3. Updates a Constitution
  4. Forces Cronyism and Corruption to be ousted
  5. Modernizes government
  6. Gives voice to the people

Those who were the original rebels had very high standards for freedom, liberty, government, and private property. Their original document was the Declaration of Independence - a work that established the initial rights of people to revolt from tyranny, taxation without representation, the quartering of government troops within a person's house and so many other things that it is famous world wide.

The actual Constitution was not started until sometime later because the people that declared Independence had to fight for their lives. They declared themselves to idealistic unto death, criminals by their actions, and free and independent people. It was something worth fighting for.

When a person seeks to better the condition of humanity, and I do, one must take what they can get in the best possible manner they can get it.

Many anarchists argue for violent demonstrations which only get them thrown in jail, wounded, or killed. They destroy and make enemies of other people who are actually on their side because everyone not in government wants less government. Sometimes, even people in government want less of it. For example, the American Civil War, Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's and those who elected Ronald Reagan, the modern day Tea Party.

If one wants more freedom, there are a couple of ways to get it. This is one of those ways where your voice is identified with that of a heroic patriot versus what could happen the loss of your freedom. Because I was a soldier and a scientist, I know how to use and have seen the vast stocks of war materials. My thoughts were that a violent revolution like many preach would only result in a quick and pointless set of acts. If you want more freedom from government, so does everyone else in the Convention of States movement.

You might not end up with zero government but less is better by your own opinion and one might say wisdom. To get less government, the old and useless must be discarded and replaced. For example, many government positions, elected or appointed are for life and yet people live so much longer than those who made the original Constitution of the United States of America could ever foresee. Is it good to have people in power that long? If an anarchists wants limited government, so does everyone else in the Convention of States Movement.

The Constitution has been described as old and useless by the left and far left. A Convention of States will update the Constitution. Do you want your voice heard in the process or not? People who know the Constitution as good as it is, know after more than a couple of hundred years, some disputes need to be settled. Why be silent in anger when one can be loud in process?

No one likes corruption or cronyism other than those who get away with it. Every other person suffers from corruption and cronyism. Idealistic? Want a better world? You have to join the other people that are idealistic and want a better world.

Is government backward, intrusive with surveillance? Is the drug war a failure? Are policies and trade agreements now done by the President and not authorized by Congress? What about police actions versus war? Do you think unauthorized police actions should be allowed? Anyone aware of the armaments in the world knows that seconds count in the thwart of an attack, to repel an invader. Do you think your voice matters? Do you have the courage to face what is hidden, pull it out in the open, and argue for change?

Anarchists often talk about the ideals of what a group of people who gather themselves together to determine what is good and what is not and what force that should have on our lives, the lives of the people to come. Here is the opportunity to voice your opinion and maybe even get elected as a representative. In life, we must do what we can and trust in God for the rest. God is the unknown, that which we truly know nothing about except what is revealed. The truth is an Article V, Constitutional Convention of States is the unknown. Are we afraid of that?

Do we not have enough trust in our species that are of sound and good order to do what is best for humanity? Are we not idealistic enough about ourselves that we refuse to oversee and participate in that which if for the better quality of life of the generations to come?

I have courage to face the unknown and do not think this means that fear does not creep up in me during the process. Have the bravery to participate in the ideal, become a part of the Convention of States. Make your voice heard so that your ideals are given consideration.

  1. Should the government be allowed to run a deficit forever? It kills the elderly - inflation, and those on fixed incomes.
  2. Should there be term limits as to how long people can hold their positions in government?
  3. Should their be limits on taxation?
  4. What about the morass of criminal, civil, and tax law? Should it be limited?
  5. What about the law of precedent? How much weight should it have?
  6. How sacrosanct should private property be?
  7. What about religion?
  8. What about surveillance?
  9. What about hundreds of other actions and laws by government that have circumvented the Constitution?
  10. No child actually needs to go to school, a child can be educated at home via the internet?

Many of the atheists and anarchists on Steemit state that I am ignorant of your beliefs or your education - I HAVE A DEGREE IN IT! My analytical skills reject your beliefs as a philosophy and nothing more. At least, I know exactly what you are trying to do and want to do.

I am labeled as a Communist in government records. It was never true that I was a communist and yet there it is. How many years of an individual's records should the government have? How much access should business or other branches of government have to education, medical, criminal, employment, service, IQ, or internet usage records?

Be silent and your only alternative is to fight a losing battle that at best causes destruction and makes other people your enemies when they are on your side for limited government, freedom, and liberty.

Think about it: join the Convention of States

I am on the board of a non-profit in Austin, TX (cg4tx.org) and we just hosted a panel on 5/6/17 concerning government preemption. Sandy Levinson was on the panel (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanford_Levinson) and was also eager to see an Article V convention take place. I think it would be healthy to see the convention in action and at the very least debate the modernity of our behavior and publicly enforced federal system. I would be a big fan of dismantling Citizens United and the Electoral College but who knows what would even be possible of being approved by the necessary amount of states.

This is the problem with dismantling the electoral college - one it was put in place because it was impossible at the time due to travel speeds. That could happen again that travel was impossible. Two - the electoral college is actually a check and balance against the election of someone evil. There are many more reasons for the electoral college such as war where we are losing.

Nevertheless, your voices should be heard and I know, since I lived it here, what pioneering or settling life should be like. It is hard as hell to build a place for yourself in the wilderness with hand tools. At least we have roads here. I do not think that it really is much different in the cities and I have lived in them and suburbia. One must carve out one's place in order to be a free individual.

So, your voices are welcome. It is the correct path to take and thanks for your comment my friend @coronacoffeeco.

Yes, things in Texas have changed a bit much since the Alamo

I reason in musical terms.

Thanks for your comment my friend @pompe72, I only have a cell phone and limited data so...maybe someone will write what the song says - then is does the Song remain the Same?

It's not Led Zeppelin, it's Anarchy In The U.K. by the Sex Pistols.

Thanks for the heads up LOL. Like the Sex Pistols myself
