Yes, you should ask questions from your opponent person which has only yes answer. For example, if you want to date your girlfriend and she demands that I will date you if you pick me up via motor bike while you don't own a bike so what will you do? You will go to your father and ask to buy a bike because your girlfriend will only date if I picked her via bike. No, you can't do this directly cause your father will slap you instead of giving money for buying a bike.
Apart from that, you have to ask your father that you are going to college via bus and it took long to get in the college so what if I get a bike then I would be able to save my time and spend that time in study. After this, you father will agree 80% to give you money for getting a bike. So, what was the answer? It was yes. It means you have convinced him.
