It's 4 o'clock. The house is cleaned. Number two is passed out. Number 1 is playing in her room. The husband will be home by at least 6 pm. Is that enough time to make pinto beans?
I rush to the kitchen. Grab the biggest pot we got and set in on the burner to 6. I pulled out the cutting board, a yellow one, four cloves of garlic, and start getting to work. I add the meat first. It is one pound of ground up medium Italian sausage. Then the onion and garlic. Then I start sorting the pinto beans, one plate at a time.
Is it bad that I added the beans before the water? I filled up just enough water to cover the meat and beans then turned to the highest temp, 10. I chopped up two tomatoes and added them. I'm wondering if these beans will be done by 6 pm when daddy gets home. We'll see....
