I like making affordable meals :) I even make my own breakfast and lunch so I dont have to buy any at work. I usually manage to spend less than $3.50 on food a day.

Sure, they do sell €3 (about $3) smoothies, baguettes etc at work, but i can make those things myself for a fraction of the price. Keep in mind companies serving food have to pay wages and costs for the establishment (building, utilities etc).

It's really just about finding good prices and picking out whats on sale, that block of cheese was 7.00 and i used half to make 10 sandwiches.

Many tasty sandwich cheeses are between 6-9 a kilo here. I like hunting for sales and going to the marketplace. Markets offer about 50% off on fruits and veggies compared to supermarkets.
