Fixing the blocked cover of the multicooker (crock-pot)

in cooking •  7 years ago  (edited)

Recently more and more people get such useful device for cooking as the multicooker. This "the magic pot" is not just saves time on the cooking, but also, many dishes, turn out more tasty, than at the traditional preparation (especially when cooking is not "skate" of the hostess or owner). Well and, at last, the dishes are prepared in the multicooker retain their useful properties better than with other cooking methods. The only minus - electricity consumption.

I've passed on her frequent use. However, after a while, her active use was the first "breakage" that had not given her to close. The multicooker's cover is automatically blocked during of preparation for dishes for avoidance of the accident. When dumping pressure through the valve to normal, blocking is removed. Having studied the Internet, I was convinced that a problem is quite common. Unfortunately, for the model (Moulinex CE 501132) I have not found the solution therefore it was necessary to repair by myself.

And the decision was very simple and available even for the hostess. On the photo the valve is pitting steam is shown. I just pulled it by the hand. Under the valve there is a small rod which just and is responsible for a blocking / unblocking. In my case, it was easy to pick up and lift up. After that, blocking of a cover was removed.

If anyone has a similar design of a cover, this council can be useful and avoided in the future. Only be careful and do not forget to let go of steam, in cases if the cover is jams right after preparation of a dish.
