If you have been following along, in my last black and white post I was taking about inspiration. Well this post was inspired by the guy I was taking about. I ended up buying 20 copper rounds in order to get free shipping on one of my latest orders of silver.

As I have said before I never really thought about copper but after a little back and forth I was convinced to grab some. It sure is shiney! I am planning on giving most of them away to my friends who are pro 2nd Amendment for Christmas!

I think they all well enjoy them since it is a pro 2A coin!

I'm not sure I'll keep buying copper but if it makes for some good deals, why not.

I'm also thinking about giving one away if you guys would be interested #steemsilvergold?

nice looking medals.. great rendering of the Concord, MA minuteman!

I'm glad you enjoyed!

Extremely cool! Copper is shiny, totally worth it. Photos are really nice, especially the red white and blue! They make for great gifts. @ironshield

Those are real nice looking

I agree. Glad I decided to branch out a little

It’s good to branch out sometimes 😎

love the warm colour of copper.

I guess copper is a metal that sometimes gets overlooked, but nevertheless they are very nice looking coins.

Those coins are really nice! I'm still not sold on buying copper in coin form outside of collector value because of the high premiums. If I ever copper I think that I will opt for scrap and stock pile it! Those coins would make really amazing gifts though!

Agree with @knowledge-seeker, copper is often overlooked. I collect (ok, shit..I hoard) pre-1982 pennies and have for years. Love me some wheat-cents too!

Nice rounds, great message ✌️😎

Nice man thank you! My old roommate use to hoard wheat pennies lol

I had a buddy break it down for me years ago when copper was near $4/lb. - roughly $1.50~ in pennies is 1 lb.. Once they are removed from circulation and can be melted (like all silver coinage was after '72) that's a nice return! The gov't spends more to make them than face value of the penny..lol matter of time.

Are 1981 and earlier pennies all copper? Or do they just have more copper in them than the newer ones?

95% copper, 5% zinc Lincoln Cents from 1909-1982) - current melt value:

$0.0207738 is the melt value for the 1909-1982 copper cent on December 17, 2017.
