Cop punches boy in the face. New video surfaces. Date of incident: May 11, 2018

Wisconsin police were caught on video Friday May 11, 2018 punching a teenager in the face in a parking lot mall, followed up by another punch to his head after they had taken him down. You will see this in the first part of the video that was taken by a bystander.

Wauwatosa police have now released a parking lot security video (shown in the second half of theis video) which they had initially claimed would show the boy physically fighting with the officer who was trying to detain the 17 year old. But the video does not appear to show that. It does show the boy walking away from the officer not wishing to be harassed by police who were responding to a call about “disorderly conduct” that had allegedly happened inside the mall a few minutes earlier. It is important to note, that these officers did not observe this alleged disorderly conduct, and could not even know if this boy was one of the persons alleged to have been a part of the incident. Instead, it appears that they saw some black guys in the parking lot and assumed it must be them.

Probably, knowing that he did nothing wrong, and the police were stopping him for being black walking in the mall parking lot, he did not want to stop and talk to the officer. The officer then grabs the boy and spins him around in a circle trying to forcefully throw him to the ground. The video does not show the boy fighting back or taking any offensive stance, but instead shows him trying to stay on his feet rather than have his face slammed unto the wet pavement.

The Black Panthers have been protesting this police brutality, and have stated that this all started with racist mall security guards who racially profiled these black men, accusing them of disorderly conduct.

According to CBS channel 58, “Wauwatosa Police initially received a call from Mayfair Mall regarding 5 men inside the mall "acting disorderly and causing a disturbance" around 4:30 p.m.
Officers located several of the suspects in the parking lot of the mall and attempted to speak to them.
What happened next was caught on cell phone video. In a release, Wauwatosa Police stated: "We have been made aware of a video that is circulating on social media related to this incident. This video shows only a small segment of the interaction between the suspect and the officer."
According to police, an additional video shows the officer attempting to speak with the man who allegedly refused to stop and speak with the officer. Police say that the suspect then began to physically fight with the officer who was attempting to "legally detain the suspect.”
