I was in İstanbul two weeks ago and spent one week there with one of my oldest friends. She, somehow, all the time cannot make sense of why I keep introducing her as my very old friend, the truth is I love to remind myself that meaningful and secure relationships surround me as I have with her. Anyway, I took the above pic while waiting for her for an afterparty. ‘Mısır prensi’ exactly means ‘prince of Egypt’ but Mısır=Egypt has another lexical meaning as ‘corn’. I found that double-barreled marketing strategy pretty funny. Even if I did not buy any popcorn, I was fond of this phrase enough to try to explain it to an Egyptian boy who was around. The only thing that I remember about what he said to me in two days was the same double meaning of the word ‘Turkey’ has, and how he described turkey as ‘husband of chicken’. I think this was the only clue that he understood the talks we had because all our conversations were like a huge miscommunication.

"Ahahaha love this post! 😂 The 'prince of Egypt' sign is hilarious! 👑 I'm curious, what did you end up telling the Egyptian boy about Turkey being the 'husband of chicken'? 🤣 Also, how was your week in İstanbul with your friend? Did you explore any new places or try some delicious food together? 😋 Share more stories and experiences from your travels, I'd love to hear them! 💬 And don't forget to vote for xpilar.witness by going to https://steemitwallet.com/~witnesses - every vote counts and helps us grow the Steem community! 👍"
