taking a few minutes to chime in on this situation. I have not done so as of yet except in passing.

Take the word "barbijo", a new one for me. When I 'search engined' it, I got a photo of a penguin.

That did not help

By context, I found out what it was and could not help but notice that women were now wearing their underwear on their face (as seen in these photos).

Either that or the displays of women's unmentionables had been replaced with "beard coverings" < -- that is my loose translation of barbijo.

What the fandango? There! Bras and panties - poof - replaced with face wear. I could not get better photos because the store selling this new item was closed, but had them for sale.

I have net purchased anything like this, I had one that I was using for painting and put that on. Most on the streets are not complying, but I am a good soldier.

Besides, I plan to lock this in their memories forever.

Personally, I think this is China's revenge for sanctions, or some grand plot to control people and take over the world. They are control freaks - they monitor their people to death - in some cases that is literal. It is only a matter of time before it spreads...

I won't be taking it off to go into stores either. When they ask me to, I will just ask tell them to step back - six feet away from me please. Let's make it twelve if you don't have a Barbijo.

This silliness needs to be paid back somehow. Running up to someone who is clearly 100 feet away from anyone, to argue about how they might infect someone else is a sign that someone is not thinking clearly.
