Now that's a clickbaity headline if any. But I think my logic is bulletproof. :)

Social distancing is the order of the day. It is needed to slow down the COVID-19 epidemic sufficiently for the healthcare system to be able to handle a surge of patients suffering from a severe form of the disease and needing a bed in an intensive care unit.

But the social distancing measures, and the closure of service industries as well as nearly all national borders is exacting a heavy toll on economies. Therefore, we should completely cut off all such close contacts that carry no economic value so as to enable as much of the economy to keep running without compromising the social distancing measures put in place to slow down the epidemic.

If you are single and without a regular partner you share a household with, I do not recommend hooking up with any strangers at all at this time, but if you must, at least make it count as much as possible financially. Don't use Tinder, hire a hooker - but demand to see a recent negative SARS-Cov-2 test result. And if prostitution is illegal in your neck of the woods, the least you can do is help your partner to pay the rent. :)
