Central banks, including America’s Federal Reserve, are throwing trillions at the zombie economy. Trying to kick the complete collapse can down the road. But can it possibly work? Doesn’t monetizing the debt come with huge risks?

What are the chances that this will lead to the end of the Petrodollar and the USD losing its status as the world’s reserve currency? Even if we don’t end up with Zimbabwe-style hyperinflation, might we not be facing an extended period of stagflation, with sluggish “growth” and something like 15-20% inflation making life miserable for 99% of the population?

What are the geopolitical implications? Will national leaders turn inward and embrace Fourth Turning authoritarianism, of might they look for scapegoats like foreign enemies to distract their populace from the lack of bread and circuses?
