From the NRA to Factory Farms: things you were never taught about the New DealsteemCreated with Sketch.

No, not the National Rifle Association. The lesser-known NRA was the National Recovery Administration, a New Deal government agency trying to stop competition between businesses after the Great Depression. Of course, they qualified this to say "cut throat" competition, but the idea that competition was a bad thing was first put forward by progresssives. Yes, by progressives.

I've been researching progressive corporatism and its war on competition from Roosevelt to Roosevelt. There's so much information people don't know about the New Deal! Like how farm subsidies are responsible for today's factory farming practices. In fact, we've been taught just the opposite - that progressives from Roosevelt to Roosevelt were about busting trusts and reigning in big business. I've been putting this information together in notes for future articles and future video scripts, but I think it's helpful to produce little byte-sized info graphics like these to share some lesser-known facts.

Greetings Christian

Thank you! Yes, Jimmie (@jimitations) and I are trying to consolidate our efforts to give one account the most voting power we can, so we move his steem dollars over to mine. Then, once I have significant voting power, I'll start giving him my steem dollars and we'll build him up. At least, that's the theory. :)

I checked out your post - amazing pictures!
