A Discrepancy in the Story We Tell Ourselves

in cosmology •  5 years ago  (edited)

Prove: The theoretical/cosmological story we tell ourselves is false.

Proof:

Assume:

  1. The First Law of Thermal Dynamics: Mass/energy is neither created nor destroyed.

  2. The conclusions of Relativity are correct.

  3. The Big Bang Theory is an accurate description of the origin of the physical universe.

Now, since the conclusions of Relativity are correct, we have that the Schwartzchild Radius (the radius for which a certain amount of mass/energy will become a Black Hole 🕳) is given by:

R=2GM/c^2. Where G is Newton’s Universal Gravitational Constant, M is the mass in question and c is the speed of light.

G = 6.67408 * 10^-11 m^3 kg^-1 s^-2
c=299792.458 m s^-1
Mass of ordinary matter in the observable universe= 1.46 * 10^53 kg

Yielding a radius of 2.168367322 * 10^32 m.

The radius of the currently observable universe is 4.4 * 10^26 m.

Therefore, the universe is a Black Hole and never expanded, and from all perspectives does not exist.

This is manifestly false, as the universe does exist.

Therefore, the story we tell ourselves is false.
