With one of the strongest economies in Latin America, English teaching jobs are plentiful, as many locals want to learn the language that can take them to the next level in their career. Located at the base of Irazu Volcano, this mountain city is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. Cartago is on the path less traveled, which offers those visiting the chance to truly immerse in the culture and learn a new language. The official symbol of Heredia is the El Fortin Tower built in 1867. Its idyllic location between the stunning Barva Volcano and the countries capitals means everything is within reach. Landing a job can be competitive for all these reasons, but it is possible, and you can live on $500 a month, which is much less than neighboring cities.
