The 5 seconds rule...

in counting •  12 days ago

I read this short book summary a few days ago in which the author mentioned a five second rule. When you needs to get something done, then you shouldn't procrastinate, but count five, four, three, two, one, and get it done. So, nothing harder than that. It is important to count down, because then the numbers come to an end, but if you go the other way, you might find yourself counting to thousand, and that doesn't really help.

So, when you need to jump out of bed in the morning, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... and out you go. This will help you!

Of course, it was so much more information and thoughts in this book, but this was an important part of it, and it should help you get things done and not just wait. So, I guess I have some emails I need to answer... 5, 4, 3, this article is finished, I've got to go, 1!
