Do we need couples Therapy?Just Because You Fight A Lot Does Not Mean You Have To Break Up

It is crazy some couples fight so much it’s like WWE on a daily basis!!! They disagree constantly, point the finger it’s your fault! You don’t listen to me!! Shouting and getting frustrating with each other all time. The truth is contrary to popular belief, you do not have to break up because you argue a lot because arguments are about THE SAME TOPIC! In this life, you date people and if you do not want to continue dating someone, you leave. Due to this fact, if you keep on arguing but no one’s leaving!! GOOD SIGN!! It means you want to be together but you have issues so maybe it is time to consider couples therapy.  Do we need couples therapy?

The problem with modern relationships is we are very quick to walk away and a lot of people don’t realise couples therapy can help. I mean after all, there are loads of people out there. I will just try someone else... hmmm  YES and NO!! Yes there are loads of people out there, and you might find someone better, and NO, the grass is not always greener you might just end up with someone worse or be walking away from the love of your life. The bottom line is there are no guarantees!! So if you are with someone you care about a lot, appreciate them. These are a few pointers to resolve recurring conflicts in a relationship: 

  •  TELL YOUR PARTNER THE THINGS THEY DO THAT OFFENDS YOU         
  • SPEAK TO YOUR PARTNER WITH RESPECT (DON’T SHOUT, ACCUSE, AND USE RESPECTFUL TONE)
  •  TRY TO SEE THINGS FROM YOUR PARTNER’S PERSPECTIVE 
  •  IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH YOUR PARTNER TRY TO COMPROMISE OR AGREE TO DISAGREE 
  •  DO NOT BRING UP SAME ISSUE OVER AND OVER. LEARN TO ACCEPT DIFFERENCES 
  •  NEVER TRY TO STRENGTHEN A POINT BY SAYING FAMILY OR FRIENDS AGREE WITH YOU ALSO (DO NOT INVOLVE FAMILY/FRIENDS IN ARGUMENTS) 

CONSIDER GOING TO COUPLES THERAPY   

In every relationship, there will be ups and downs and it is impossible that you agree on everything but arguing all the time can become extremely stressful. Headache!! Pass the nurofen!! LOL!! You just do not need constant drama. It also spoils your time together and you can make your man withdraw from you. If every time you are together, it’s another argument, talk it out.In a lot of cases couples therapy can really help you resolved.
