Last week’s #promptparty really has me thinking about courage. It was timely for me because I’m pursuing some projects that truly thrill me.
Next week I’ll be in Chicago attending BossedUp Bootcamp. I’m hoping to get an idea on how to get a business idea I have off the ground. I’ve come to the conclusion that I do not love working with people in an office every day, but I want to make offices better for everyone.
Admitting that to myself takes a little courage.
To give myself the time to really build up this business without risking starvation or homelessness for my family, I just applied for a Bush Foundation fellow. As a fellow (the immature part of me giggles at that) I would have the time to finish my degree and build up my business and still engage in some self-care. The fellowship is leadership based and it was a little scary to admit to other people that I think I’m a leader.
Regardless of what it is, being vulnerable is probably one of the most courageous things you can do.
What have you done recently that feel courageous?
