TOP FREE ONLINE COURSES BY IIMBX AND IIT’S FOR 2018

It isn’t a secret anymore online Courses are picking up momentum in popularity. Unlike regular college/ university courses, online courses attract many thousands of enrollees around the world and India isn’t left behind. These online courses can come in the form of active course sessions with participant interaction, or as archived content for self-paced study. Much to students and working professionals delight, they can be free, or there can be a charge either on a one-time charge or a one-time charge.

In mid 2017 a research finding by KPMG, along with insights from Google search named Online Education in India: 2021 stated that online education industry in India will be a $1.96 billion industry by 2021. Nitin Bawankule (Nitin), Industry Director, noted “The online education segment is set to become a multi-billion dollar opportunity in India. Further, The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), launched jointly by the seven IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) along with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in 2003 offers an online programme in sciences and engineering at university and research levels for students and professionals. These courses at NPTEL are free. However by the end of the course the learners may take an examination and obtain the certificate from the institute for a nominal fee.
