Nice work if you can get it. Under the terms of the Clarks CVA, 60 stores will pay no rent. zero. natch. nada.

The evictions moratorium is designed to stop on December 31st. At that point all the rent commercial tenants owe their landlords becomes due, and your landlord can begin the process of evicting you without telling you. Except if Deloitte set up your CVA.

The landlords voted against it. But they were one vote against the other creditors of the chain.

Retail isn't balanced or fair. The supermarkets got the same support that small businesses got, and yet still traded to record profits. Amazon of course made a killing. So much so that the government contracted them to take over COVID contracts AND are letting them off the digital sales tax due to come in, SPECIFICALLY targeting them.

The game is rigged.
