Excess deaths in the US leading the pack.

I'm looking at the countries of the world, ranked by excess deaths per 100k population through the pandemic. Look at the US (221) and its peer group. Three European countries that were slammed in the initial wave...and the rest are countries with developing economies.

Looking for other countries near our GDP/capita, our 221 is pathetic. Britain, 170, also shameful. France, 121. Germany, 81. Canada, 41. Ireland, 37. Denmark, 4.

Then there are the winners, with excess deaths in negative territory. (Deaths prevented from flu and other diseases more than offset the tiny COVID losses.) Japan, -6. South Korea, -11. Australia, -17. And New Zealand, gotta love them, -43.

And we still have people claiming the vaccine is killing people by the 10s of thousands, that mRNA vaccines cause pathogen priming, or alter your DNA, or that lipid nanoparticles are some kind of stealthy poison. Or just "you can't make me!". We have a free, fast, safe and effective medicine, and even lottery tickets make enough of an incentive.

It's like we're determined to get our excess deaths up to 300 per 100k.
