Cumulative seroprevalence for coronavirus antibodies through February. This is just for infection-induced antibodies.

A lot of people got infected during the Omicron wave, especially kids that had lower vaccination rates.

Now this understates the total infections as it doesn't account for reinfections (due to Omicron's immune evasion many people previously infected got reinfected). And some people don't seroconvert from infection or will go seronegative as time passes since their infection. But it is a good lower bound, given that confirmed cases are large undercounts of the true infection rate.

I keep seeing posts like, “Covid disappeared”

But this isn’t true. Sure the numbers are down just like the flu numbers go down after winter. …but that doesnt mean it disappeared and that doesn’t mean it won’t come back very strong next winter.

It should be basic common knowledge that Covid is seasonal.
