Once again, I'm against all state mandates and requirements for people to wear masks or get vaccines, but wholeheartedly support those who are at high risk of COVID-19 to consider voluntarily wearing N95 masks during large outbreaks when in large crowds (probably best if you're high-risk to avoid going out into large crowds during outbreaks if you can avoid it.
Yes, I get it, you have to go get groceries and other chores/work, but avoiding going out into large crowds during outbreaks is probably wise if you're at high risk of COVID-19).
Anyways, back to the mask topic....N95 masks have been proven, repeatedly, and around the globe in hundreds of various labs to offer some decent protection against the transmission of COVID-19 and its variants. I'd personally be suspicious of any KN95 masks and stick with N95 to be sure. (If you're high-risk of covid your life is on the line and hence a few extra dollars on the right mask makes sense, especially since we don't have a shortage right now)
Cloth masks are overall very ineffective (although may slightly decrease chances of transmission), but n95 masks have been scientifically proven in hundreds of labs across the globe to provide strong added protections against COVID-19 transmission. N95 have passed the scientific method and proven themselves to offer the best protection of all of the masks available.
It's also vital that you wear the N95 mask properly.
Also, if you're not high-risk for covid then it may be worth the risk to not wear a mask at all. This post is intended for those who have a high risk of complications from COVID-19 (past cancer victims, obesity, weakened immune systems (autoimmune disorders), those with lung problems/diseases, those with heart conditions, etc...)
Disclaimer, I have no stake in any N95 mask equity/stock. I just care about the facts and saving lives.
Also I'm 100% against all government forced mandates on vaccines and masks. These things should all be handled voluntarily and based on property rights.
