Now 14 oblasts with 60+ hospitalizations per 100k. Ukraine nationally is on the verge of this threshold with 59.5 hospitalizations per 100k.

Kherson oblast has an astounding 94.9 hospitalizations per 100k. Kharkiv oblast 86.3. Zaporizhia oblast 83.1. Donetsk oblast 79.4.

To put it into perspective the worst hospitalization peak for a US state was in Florida where ~80 per 100k were hospitalized at one point this August. Oblasts or regions are the Ukrainian equivalent of states.

73.1% of beds with oxygen are used in Donetsk oblast. 66.2% in Odessa oblast.

Test positivity in Sumy oblast is a remarkable 28.5%. In Zhytomyr oblast 24.9%. Kharkiv oblast has brought down its high test positivity by ramping up testing significantly in recent days.

New hospitalizations nationally are now up to the Winter peak and a little over half the Spring peak with no sign of slowing anytime soon. Ukraine has a high number of hospital beds per capita, but doesn't nearly have the ICU bed capacity of a country like the US. Oxygen supplies and hospital staffing will be the resources most at risk of shortages.

Vaccination is still extremely low in the country, so Ukraine is extremely vulnerable this Delta wave. The health system will be at risk of collapse in the coming months. Neighboring Romania has already had a devastating Delta wave as its hospitals have run out of beds.
