There is hope that doctors can use plasma from patients who recovered from COVID19 to help people with COVID19.
This brings up an interesting tradition in American Health Care. The Health Care System refuses to buy blood. This is why they have to continually run blood drives.
The pharmaceutical industry has a need for a steady stream of plasma. So, the pharmaceutical industry created a network that buys plasma from the public.
Personally I think the companies that buy plasma are wonderful. They are often in the poorer parts of town and they provide a small amount of income for people in need.
If someone recovered from COVID19 and decided to make some money selling plasma; then I applaud that person. The thing where the ruling elite looks down on the little people who sell plasma is absurd. I say that if a person is rich, then donate blood. If you need money; then, by all means, sell plasma and pay down debts with the money.
