The Crack History of the Universe Book 1 Ch.30 Of Life Since the Apocalypse

While numerous species upon the planet Earth perished from the great extinctions life still soldiered on as even the cavemen and other smaller lifeforms found ways to adapt and overcome the Ice Age they were faced with!

Ever since the great extinction, Primates and Miacids naturally evolved upon the planet Earth and flightless birds began their diversification. Thus, the spark of life was lit once more upon the planet Earth’s surface.

Only one other extraordinary event would occur from this moment in time and it would be the crash landing of the Xylok Meteorite into the planet Earth’s crust. The Xylok themselves resembled a crystalline mineral that showed life signs with a mastery of technopathy. However, with their crash-landing upon a planet with no such computers to speak of the Xylok themselves were rendered as useless as the rocks they resembled upon the planet!

Odds and Ends of the Aftermath

Littering the end of the Eocene Epoch are many an evolutionary milestone. However precious little is found in the way of extraordinary sights and wonders that occur across the universe for in this timespan so much is peaceful for the last days of this period.

Starting with the year 56’000’000 B.C.E. the Gastornis flightless birds evolved into their current form and they dominated much of the upper hemisphere as they wandered in nature.

By the year 55’000’000 B.C.E. however an explosion of life flourished after the apocalypse be they modern birds, the ancestors of whales, rodents, lagomorphs, armadillos, sirenians, proboscideans, perissodactyls, antiodactyls, Mako sharks, either all evolving or diversifying such as the Angiosperms which also emerged at this time as a new wild world and ecosystem was created!

Even upon the Earth’s surface the land itself was changing as the Indian Supercontinent Collided with Asia and it had uplifted the Himalayas and the Tibetan Plateaus as these tectonic plates collided with each other!

This great advancement and explosion of life even gets the Eldar to notice the Planet Earth for a time but ultimately, they decide it is not worth their time for being too primitive and for the protected and sacred status it held within the universe itself.

Furthermore, by the year 52’000’000 B.C.E. the First Bats came to evolve and by 50’000’000 B.C.E. a major tectonic event would see the collusion of the African Continent collide with the continent of Eurasia which would close the Tethys Ocean forever!

Accompanying this Tectonic event were yet more evolutions and diversifications. The Dog and the Cat’s primary ancestors then evolutionarily diverge from each other and the diversification of all primates occurred next. Adding to the evolutions there were Brontotheres, Tapirs, Rhinos and Camels that emerged during this period of time as well!

War Resurrects Itself!

After the reemergence of life albeit in more simpler forms than before upon the surface world. Beneath the Earth war began again. The Flying Polyps still vengeful from earlier wars against the Yithians began to tunnel beneath the earth to find the Yithians bunkers where life expressed itself and began to kill everything they came across making nearly all remnants of the previous civilization rare artifacts and finds from before the current age of man.

Considering this act of genocide, the Yithians abandoned their bodies they used on the planet Earth as a collective in favor of a new species from one of the moons of Jupiter that they planned to inhabit and repopulate their species and rebuild from there.

Little remained of the Bunkers after the Flying Polyps attacked them during this time period and as such much of the previous prehistoric civilizations and cultures are lost to history as the Flying Ployps simply made more of their underground mighty cities beneath the Earth’s crust upon the rubble and ruins of the previous bunkers with precious little pockets of life that remembered the events of Prehistory and when Dinosaurs walked the Earth…
